The book/books are not dirty. I used a gently cleaner to wipe down the outside cover. I dusted all along the outside edges of the books, as well. There is no musty odor. There is considerable discoloration (foxing) of the covers &/or the pages due to oxidation of the iron in the paper.
A great, almost like new copy of this book, no markings. Binding in perfect shape.
